The INEC has declared the incumbent governor of Anambra the winner of the elections in Anambra State. This announcement came 9am through the resident electoral commissioner, Mr. Josiah Uwazuronye in Awka, Anambra.

Peter
Obi was said to have won 97,832 of the votes. Chris Ngige won 60,240 of the votes while Charles Soludo won 59,359 of the votes. Governor Peter Obi won 13 out of the 21 LGAs in Anambra.

According to the election observer reports, the elections were relatively free and fair. The violence were minor.

The INEC who had decided to cancel the elections in two LGAs decided to shelve the idea following the extent of landslide by the incumbent governor. The cancelation of the two LGAs would have not affected the result or the outcome of the electon.

Peter Obi is yet to make a public statement on his landslide victory.

More details to come.
